Upcoming Winter Concert

The Logan High School Instrumental Music Department will be presenting the annual Winter Concert in the Logan High School Theatre on Thursday, February 12, at 7:00 p.m. Director of Bands is Jeff North. Assistant Directors are Pam Price, Ben Wright, and Tom Romine. The Seventh Grade Band will open the concert with “ Westchester March” by James Swearingen, “In Darkest Night” by Barry Kopetz, and “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. The Eighth Grade Band will perform “The Pit and the Pendulum” by Michael Story, “Home” by G. Holden/D. Pearson, and “Semper Paratus” by Frances Saltus Van Boskerck. The Senior High Concert Band will perform “The Show Boy March” by Will Huff, “Overture To A New Horizon” by Robert Sheldon, and “Finale From Symphony No. 8” by Antonin Dvorak. Admission to the concert is $2.00 for students and $3.00 for adults. Upcoming events for the Instrumental Music Department include District 15 Band Competition for Senior High Band on March 6-7; Spring Musical on March 14-15; Annual Spring Concert on April 30; Senior High Band Banquet on May 5; Graduation Ceremonies on May 22; Alumni Day Concert on May 23; and Memorial Day Parade on May 25.
